The Japan News : 4 March 2016

WASHINGTON (Jiji Press) — Building a replacement facility for the U.S. Marine Corps’ Futenma air base in the Henoko coastal district in Nago, Okinawa Prefecture, is “the only solution” that addresses all related issues, a spokesman of the U.S. National Security Council said Thursday.
“The United States and Japan remain committed to the plan to construct the Futenma replacement facility” in the Henoko district, the spokesman said. “It is the only solution that ... avoids the continued use of Marine Corps Air Station Futenma.”
